Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, central Pennsylvania’s preeminent educational institution for the health care field, recently announced that assistant professor Vickie L. Price, MEd Min, received this year’s Kenneth G. Stoudt Excellence in Teaching Award at the College’s convocation on August 10, 2021. The award recognizes a PA College faculty member who demonstrates leadership, excellence and creativity.
“We’re honored to extend this award to Vickie Price, as she’s a superb educator and faculty member who plays a key role in both our College’s and her students’ success,” said Dr. Mary Grace Simcox, president of Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences. “The nomination from her students is evidence that she serves her students wholeheartedly through personal and academic challenges alike. Her commitment to her career deserves utmost recognition.”
Price has been with PA College since 2008 and currently teaches Ethical and Legal Dimensions in the Health Sciences, Ethical Issues in Health Care, and Death, Dying & Bereavement courses. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and a certification in Secondary Social Studies from Ursinus College. Price is also a graduate of the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown and completed her residency at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, where she was a Chaplain Associate for more than ten years. She is proud to be the first member of her family to earn a college degree.

Named after the former chairman of the Board of Trustees, the annual Kenneth G. Stoudt Excellence in Teaching award is given to a regular faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and student learning through instructing, mentoring and/or advising. To qualify, the recipient must be nominated by students and meet a set of specific criteria.
