A New Year’s Message from Our Alumni Association President

Dear fellow alumni,

Tina MartinHappy New Year! As we embark on 2021, I can’t help but reflect on 2020 and how much our lives have changed and how much we have learned. 2020 was the Year of the Nurse, and more than ever, nursing showed the world how integral our profession is in supporting the health of our communities. I was honored to end 2020 with giving COVID vaccines to our frontline healthcare workers, and I was fortunate to also receive my 1st dose. The vaccine is giving us hope. Hope that our arduous work this past year was not in vain. Hope that we can again see our family and friends face to face. Hope that a healthier tomorrow is on the horizon.

Thank you, alumni, for all you did this past year. Whether you were lifting our profession up in your thoughts and prayers, or you were caring for our community across the health continuum, thank you! I am so proud, now more than ever, to be a part of the Nursing profession.

Take care,

Tina Martin ’86, DNP, RN, NE-BC
