Philanthropy Week

During this special annual event, students, faculty and staff celebrate the impact of philanthropy at PA College!

Philanthropy Week – February 3-7, 2020

SPARE CHANGE FUNDRAISER FOR STUDENT EMERGENCY FUND – All Week    (Students, Faculty & Staff)

“WHY I GIVE” DONOR SCAVENGER HUNT – All Week (Students)

Get to know more about our financial donors and their reasons for giving at your own pace through this fun scavenger hunt. Pick-up your scavenger hunt game cards in the Campus Life & Student Engagement Suite or at any Philanthropy Week event. Find at least four of the “hidden” items by Feb. 7 for a chance to win a cool prize.

“WHAT PHILANTHROPY MEANS TO ME…” POST-IT NOTE WALL – All Week (Students, Faculty, Staff)

Donors give in many ways and for countless different reasons. Have some candy and join the conversation about philanthropy by sharing your responses to questions posed on our customized Post-It notes. Outside of Classroom 1710/near the Student Commons.

“WHAT’S HOT ABOUT PHILANTHROPY” HOT CHOCOLATE BAR – FEB. 3 (Students)

Enjoy a free, tasty treat served up by alumni and other donors who have made financial gifts to the College on Monday, February 3, from 1-3 p.m. in the Student Commons. Pick up some “food for thought” about why these special friends are passionate about giving to the College.  (HINT: Complete a Scavenger Hunt step here!)

DONOR THANK YOU VIDEO SHOOT – FEB. 4 and FEB. 6 (Students, Faculty & Staff)

When someone makes a financial gift to the College, we love to show our gratitude and the impact of philanthropy in a creative way!  Make your financial gift (of any size) to this week’s Spare Change Fundraiser for the Student Emergency Fund and stop by the Campus Life & Student Engagement suite to record a short video clip telling us about why you chose to give. We’ll utilize a selection of these recordings in a special “thank you” video that will be emailed to all contributors to the fund.
