Volunteer Opportunities in Lancaster
PA College is committed to recruiting, hiring and retaining first-rate staff and faculty. In support of that goal, the College’s Spouse/Partner Dual Career Program offers job search information and assistance to dual career spouses or partners.
If you are the spouse or partner of a newly hired full-time, benefits-eligible staff or faculty member relocating to Lancaster, the Office of Human Resources can assist you in your search for employment in the surrounding community. PA College’s Spouse/Partner Dual Career Program is a resource and referral service for accompanying partners who are seeking employment of volunteer opportunities in the Lancaster area. These services are free and confidential.
Services offered include:
- Curriculum vitae, resume and cover letter review
- Interviewing tips
- Job search strategy
- Information regarding job openings at PA College
- General information on employment in the region and the local hiring market
- Identification of local employers and professional networking opportunities
The College’s Recruitment Specialist will work to arrange an initial welcome meeting by phone or in-person to discuss the spouse/partner’s background and employment interests. They are also encouraged to view the College’s available openings and submit an application.
Please note that services provided by this program do not guarantee employment at any organization or institution; these services should be viewed only as a resource. Additionally, all PA College openings follow the College’s standard application process.
Program services are available for up to one year or until employment has been secured, whichever comes first. The program is flexible; if a spouse/partner must place the job search on hold due to unforeseen circumstances, we will work with that individual – once the spouse/partner is ready to resume his or her job search, the program services will continue.
For more information about this program, please contact the Office of Human Resources.
