Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences has been preparing health care providers for more than 115 years. Originally operating as the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing, today we are a private, accredited, four-year college offering associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs, as well as certificate programs. With enrollment of nearly 2,000 students, PA College continues to be the area’s only institution of higher education exclusively focused on health care.
Though PA College is owned by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, we operate as an independent organization. Our Board of Trustees and leadership is separate from the bodies that oversee the hospital and the rest of the LG Health organization. We operate under our own budget and with our own staff, and have strong connections with many health systems throughout the area.
