Biography
I am the oldest of five children and was the very first in my family to go to college. I grew up and continue to live in Lebanon County.
I graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a PA teaching certificate for secondary social studies. I taught at the high school level and then switched to banking as a consumer lender.
I returned for my master’s degree in educational ministries and graduated in 2006 from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, PA.
I completed an internship in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Phoebe Homes in Wernersville, PA. My residency was earned at Lancaster General Hospital where I was a Chaplain Associate in the Chaplaincy Care & Education Department from 2006-2016.
While at PA College of Health Sciences I have taught Psychology, Sociology, and World Religions. I currently teach Ethical and Legal Dimensions in the Health Sciences, Ethical Issues in Health Care, and Death Dying & Bereavement in blended and online formats.
