Melissa Lewis, MSN, RN
Nursing Faculty
Biography
I am a second career nurse and proof that you are never too old to live your dream! After many years working as a Paralegal and in Administration, I went back to school to become an RN. In my nursing career, I worked with post-op rehab patients, on a pediatric psychiatric inpatient unit and then landed my dream job working in OB as a postpartum nurse serving moms and babies. I've always enjoyed precepting new nurses in each of my roles and am passionate about nursing education.
I have been married to my husband for over 30 years and have 3 biological children and 1 adopted child - all grown. I have 2 grandsons and another one on the way. If not working, I can be found spending time with my family, reading books, and relaxing!
