Glenn Murphy, MSN, RN, CNE
BiographyGlenn Murphy is a pediatric nursing faculty at the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences. He received his MSN in Nursing Education and Faculty Role from Drexel University and his BSN from Thomas Jefferson University.
Glenn worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Cardiac Center as a bedside nurse. He also has experience as a hospital educator, and additional clinical experience as a mental health technician. In addition to pediatric nursing, Glenn has taught Mental Health Nursing, Medication Principles, and Relationship-Based Nursing Care. Glenn is a Certified Nurse Educator.
Glenn has presented on discharge education for pediatric heart patients through a patient-family education room; the short- and long-term effects of rotating shift work on bedside nurses; applied pediatric math to create connections between the classroom and clinical environments; mindfulness at the bedside, and the opioid epidemic in pediatrics.
