Historic Inauguration

Cheryl A. McConnell, PhD, a 35-year veteran of Jesuit higher education, was unanimously elected by the University’s Board of Trustees and the presidential search committee as Saint Joseph’s 29th and first female president.

Saint Joseph's University continues to reach new heights, from appointing its first female president to accelerating its campus master plan and expanding career opportunities with the most in-demand program offerings.  

The University prepares students to be engaged citizens of the world, committed to Jesuit ideals and lifelong learning.

Today’s students gain experience while putting theory into practice through research, co-ops and clinical training, D1 athletics and more.
