    How do I connect off-site?

EZProxy for PCHS Students, Faculty & Staff : https://lgcollege.lghealth.org/  (You must access the Library's resources from the Library website.)

Citrix for Penn Medicine/LGH employees: https://iconnect.lghealth.org/vpn/index.html

EBSCO is asking for a password.  What should I use?

No password is available for EBSCO.  You will need to use remote access, either EZProxy or Citrix (see above).

I’m having a problem with Citrix.

Please call LGH Information Services 717-544-4357 (“544-HELP”) to resolve your problem.  Please note that not all LG employees are granted Citrix accounts; in general, non-exempt employees do not qualify for Citrix access.

    How do I access eResources?

    Go to the library's homepage:

    Books, Databases & Journals

Online Catalog     To locate print or electronic books, journals, or other items in the collection.
Databases A-to-Z    To research a topic, databases provide your entrance into the literature.
Find a Journal     To ascertain whether or not the Library subscribes to a particular journal.

    Do we own eBooks?

Yes. Go to the Online Catalog. Click on the eBooks collection then focus your search by adding a search word, subject, author, title etc. in the second search box.

How do I register to use the catalog?

You need to register to borrow books from the library, place holds, or renew books. You do not need to register to use the eResources (eBooks, journals or databases).

Go to the Catalog. Go to My Accounts then My Profile:

    LF3

A Sign In page comes up. Click on “Register Now”, then complete the form. The LGH Network ID is the username for logging on to the computers. It is also the first part of your email address (for example JD025).
The Catalog automatically creates a password using the same LGH Network ID. So using the JD025 example – the user name would be JD025 AND the password would be JD025. To protect your account from unauthorized use, you are advised to change your password when you sign in initially.

How do I get things that we don’t own in our library?
    OR
How do I request an Interlibrary Loan?

On the library homepage on the left there is a link to Library Forms. Complete the “Article or Book Request” form. One form is required for each request. We will attempt to borrow the resource from another library, While we strive for quick turnaround, Interlibrary loans may take 7 days to obtain.

How do I find a journal article

Choose a Database, perform a search using carefully selected keywords, look at results. To get to the full text of the article look for the PDF, Full Text or Check LinkSource icons.

If you already have the citation of an article, go to the Journals A-to-Z. Type in the title or part of the journal title (no abbreviations). Take note of the date range. If the journal is not on the list go to Library Forms and click on “Article Request”. We will attempt to borrow the article from another library.
