Health Sciences Library
The Health Sciences Library
supports students, faculty, researchers, and clinicians at Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences and Lancaster General Health. Two campus locations, each staffed by professional librarians, serve our communities: one is located within the College's Learning Commons, and the other is in Lancaster General Hospital (James Street lobby). Each provides group and individual seating, lounge areas, networked computers, WiFi
access, and printing. Patients, their families, and the community are invited
to utilize the Patient Education Collection at Lancaster General Hospital, where books on a wide range of diseases, conditions and related topics are available for borrowing.
The library’s online collections consist of thousands of print and online journals, eBooks, books in print and audiovisual resources and databases. Print
media, in the form of books and journal subscriptions, supplements the
electronic collection. AV materials (anatomical models, charts, etc.) are
also available. Librarians collaborate with College faculty and Lancaster
General personnel to ensure that resources are available to meet both
educational and clinical information needs.
The Library is closed for major holidays, and follows the College's policy regarding emergency / inclement weather closures.Hours subject to change during session breaks--check Library News for updates.
